GeekBrains Launches Online Course on Agile Methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, Lean

GeekBrains Education Portal Launches Three-Day online course on Agile methodologies, focused on  IT professionals and those who want to understand technology at a basic level or strengthen their resume.

On the first day of the course, February 22, students will study the principles and history of the waterfall model, the spiral development model, get acquainted with the criticism of Waterfall, master the basics of Agile thinking and the Agile manifesto.

The second day of training, February 29, will be devoted to an overview of FDD, XP, Scrum, Lean, Kanban and Crystal Clear methodologies. Students will be told about the use cases of Agile in modern companies.

On the last day, March 7, they will discuss the principles, rituals, artifacts and roles in Scrum, types of meetings, stories, basic principles of Lean and Kanban, Lean Production concepts and the rules of three sigma. The training will end with the game Scrum in action.

Participants will have access to class records and teaching materials even after completing the course..

The program was developed by Alexey Gorbylev, technical director of the monetization of the Yula ad service (Mail.ru Group). According to him, Agile has long ceased to be a local method from the IT world. A flexible approach to software development is used by most modern companies, no matter what they do — industry, educational technology or something else.

The course is paid, the number of places is limited. To participate, you must first  register.
